I don’t usually post recipes here. I LOVE to cook, but that’s not what this blog is about. Every once in a while, though . . .
There’s a great website called Six Sisters Stuff that has loads of delicious recipes (and crafts, I think, but that’s not my area). This easy, no-bake dessert is very much like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and is, as promised, incredibly easy. Go ahead, make these. And then do your best not to eat them all at once. As a matter of fact, you’d better make them when you know you’ll have a chance to share because the temptation will be too much.
EASY NO-BAKE PEANUT BUTTER BARS
1 cup melted butter
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup + 4 tablespoons peanut butter
1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
Directions
Combine the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and 1 cup of the peanut butter. Pour into an ungreased 9×13 inch pan. Melt the chocolate chips with the remaining 4 T peanut butter until smooth. Spread over the peanut butter layer. Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting into squares. Small squares are fine–these are RICH!
I made half a recipe in an 8×8 pan since it’s just my husband and me. I’ll make these again for the next Women of the Church meeting and I’m totally making pretty containers filled with these for Christmas gifts. So easy and oh, so good!
And just the ticket when I need a pick-me-up between writing chapters. Thank you Six Sisters!
