We’re fortunate to live just a mile from Pisgah National Forest. Almost every day after work I head to the woods for a hike with Thistle. On the weekends, hubby comes along and we go even further afield.
Hiking not only provides Thistle and I with exercise, it also gives me a break from the world, a chance to enjoy nature, freedom to mull over story ideas, and time to chat with God. Everyone should have time each day to disconnect from the world and reconnect with God like this.
So, in case you can’t go for a lovely hike most days, I thought I’d share mine with you. Come along . . .
Ahhhhhhh. This did my mountain missing heart GOOD!! Thank you , Sarah!!
Come go with me sometime!
What fun! I’m so jealous. 🙂
I almost feel guilty knowing how many folks are still dealing with snow.
You know, I could combine an antiquing/hiking visit….
The Antique Tobacco Barn awaits! Or we could drive down to Dillon, SC, to one of the best family-run auction houses in the south. Check it out – http://bwauctions.com/
What a pleasant and peaceful journey…I’m fortunate enough to see this every day as well… spring is springing!
The only way my hikes could be better is if I were walking in THOSE woods!
LOVE ferns, in any incarnation. AND THE WOODS RULE! Hee.
Me, too! Ferns is the theme in our master bedroom/bath.
AHHHHHH! I want to go to an antique auction!!
Wow, that’s a lovely place to live near! Thanks for sharing the pics!
Thanks for coming along on the tour!
