This happened last year, too. Summer lingered so long that the fall color didn’t really show up until November. I’m hoping that’s what happens this year because right now we’re still seeing lots of green with just a few hints of color.
And I LOVE autumn!
So, after a hectic weekend with little to no color and a HUGE special event at work, today’s post is a simple review of autumns past from West Virginia and North Carolina.

I have about the same post sitting in drafts waiting for me to get to my photos and add them. WNC sure has lots of green, some yellow and brown dying leaves falling. We goofed half a day last week and went leaf looking and saw, two trees total that were a pretty red. Hope it’s just late and doesn’t get skipped. All the waterfalls look so wimpy.
Yup–it was encouraging to look back at my pictures from last year. The color DID finally show up in November!
